Health Guarantee for Yvonne’s Kennel
By acquiring a puppy from Yvonne’s Kennel (whether in person or online), the buyer agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this Health Guarantee. This agreement is designed to protect both the buyer and the seller and applies solely to the cost of the puppy.
Eligibility for Health Guarantee
To qualify for the limited health assurance provided below, the buyer must:
- Have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of taking possession (if collected in person) or receiving the puppy (if shipped via an aircraft carrier).
- Notify Yvonne’s Kennel immediately (on the same day) if any health issues are identified during this examination.
Health and Temperament Guarantee
At the time of purchase, the puppy is guaranteed to be in good health and of sound temperament. If a health issue is identified during the initial 48-hour veterinary examination, the buyer must notify Yvonne’s Kennel immediately to be eligible for a replacement puppy.
- No guarantee is provided for any health issues not identified by the veterinarian during the initial examination.
- If there is any dispute regarding the puppy’s health, Yvonne’s Kennel reserves the right to seek a second opinion from a licensed veterinarian. This second opinion will serve as the final judgment.
Major Congenital Defects
In the unlikely event that the puppy is found to have a major congenital defect (one that prevents it from living a normal pet life), the following applies:
- The puppy must be returned to Yvonne’s Kennel within 24 hours of the veterinary examination.
- A written confirmation from the examining veterinarian must be provided to Yvonne’s Kennel.
- Upon verification, Yvonne’s Kennel will provide a replacement puppy of equal or lesser value.
If the buyer chooses to keep the puppy despite the defect, they accept full responsibility for all associated medical costs, and no replacement will be provided.
Exclusions from the Guarantee
This Health Guarantee does not cover:
- Any health issues or ailments that arise prior to the initial veterinary examination.
- Health problems caused by the buyer, including but not limited to injury, illness, or immunizable diseases.
- Costs associated with veterinary fees, treatments, shipping, transportation, or emotional distress.
Pet-Only Policy
The puppy is sold as a pet only, and no guarantees are provided regarding:
- Adult size, color, or quality.
- Fertility or future offspring.
Voiding the Agreement
This Health Guarantee will be considered void if:
- The buyer fails to provide proper care, including an appropriate diet and regular veterinary check-ups.
- The puppy is neglected, mistreated, or exposed to harmful conditions.
